Install the add-in in Excel

Requires Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365, Excel on the web, or Excel 2016+ for Windows/Mac).

Installation

Windows & Excel on the web

  1. 1Open Excel → Insert tab → “Get Add-ins” (or “My Add-ins”).
  2. 2Choose “Upload My Add-in” and paste the manifest URL from above.
  3. 3CellAlert appears in the ribbon — sign in and start marking deadline cells.

macOS (no upload dialog)

  1. 1Download the manifest (button above) — “manifest.xml” lands in your Downloads folder.
  2. 2Place the file in the add-in folder (below). If the “wef” folder doesn't exist, create it. Tip: Finder → “Go” → “Go to Folder…” (⌘⇧G) and paste the path.
  3. 3Restart Excel → “Insert” → “My Add-ins” → “Developer Add-ins”: CellAlert appears — sign in.

Admins can deploy the add-in for everyone via the Microsoft 365 admin center (Centralized Deployment).
